Essay

The thesis focuses on the peculiarities of junior pupils' self-esteem formation during the educational process. It is stated that the feeling of self-esteem (FSE) is a complicated integral unity represented by the subjective reality entity based on the interaction of the inner personal and external social development determinants. It belongs to the structure of the personality in general. This is the own moral value and social significance upheaval and experience. The external and inner factors stimulate revealing of the FSE structural elements, determine the junior pupil personality direction (personal behavior is one thing, while being impacted on - another thing). The structural model of self-esteem formation in junior school age which promotes revealing of functioning of junior pupils' self-processes is presented. Thus, determination is predetermined by the dignity functions, and namely: indicative - for the navigating in the system of moral values; motivational - connected with the personality needs expression; regulative - influencing the activity and the behavior, when behavior regulation is transferred to inner motives of self-development. Moral virtues and dignity in the junior school age are determined by positive moral qualities which are typical for a junior pupil in a certain problematic situation: independence, sensitivity, positive self-awareness, justice, mutual understanding, sympathy, responsibility. Due to the results of the empiric study it is defined that understanding of the received tasks including educational is influenced by the content of the studied material- context, amount of the analyzed objects, subjective experience approximation, degree of self-esteem feeling formation, moral values. Thus, the dynamics of academic success in the junior school age is predetermined by the slowness and exhaustion of the nervous system, personality anxiety state and degree of self-esteem feeling formation.
