Essay

The dissertation presents the solution of scientific task of defining the theoretical foundation and formulation of methodological approaches to strategic management of enterprises in the hotel industry. The basic vocabulary definitions in the hotel industry are improved by specifying the terms "hotel service", "hotel", hotel cluster", according to their functions and their roles in the framework of hotel industry. The influence of world economy globalization on the development of hotel industry, the priorities of global hotel chains and its influence on Ukrainian hotel industry is featured. The tools and models of strategic management of enterprises in the hotel industry are systemized according to peculiarities of the activities; the choice is justified according to the purposes of analyses and planning. The scientific and methodological approaches to the formation of the strategic management of hotel enterprises on the basis of strategy maps management and system of balanced score card between supply and demand, the price level and the quality of hotel services. The aims and objectives of the strategic management of the enterprises of the hotel industry in reliance on the level of income of population, the intensity of tourist flows and other factors of influence are determined. As a result of hotel enterprises analysis national and local trends in the development of the hotel industry with the influence of a wide range of factors of social and economic, demographic and town-planning character are indentified; the problems in the functioning of the hotel enterprises and strategic management of these enterprises are highlighted. The basic development strategies of hotel enterprises are elect integrative forms of cooperation and the formation of hotel chains. On the basis of theoretical concepts of strategic management and the evaluation of current situation in hotel industry sector the system of goals of strategic development of hotel enterprises is formed on the principles of hotel cluster approach. The requirements for inclusion into the cluster are established as well as cause-and-effect relations of elements in the system. The models of strategic management process of formation and development of the hotel cluster are defined. The content and objectives of the hotel cluster creation and development stages are described. Structural and logical patterns of the process of integrative interaction of hotel industry enterprises are established.
