The dissertation examines leading communicative-pragmatic and suggestive characteristics of medical discourse. The research theoretically grounds the new systematic approach to linguistic qualifications of medical discourse as a kind of institutional discourse; proves suggestive nature of the medical discourse and reveals common psycholinguistic mechanisms of suggestibility.
