Essay

A corpus of the texts of modern Ukrainian fiction (1991-2015) that prove the actualization of the Polissian patois was selected. A functional loading of dialectal units was studied, their frequency in the literary language was found out, peculiar features of their combinability were pointed out; a correlation of dialectal units and a certain type of a language of a text.
