Essay

In the thesis also partially is examined syntactic categorical system due to its close interrelation to morphology and compounding. For instance, often a phrase can be motivator to the stems' unification. Or in morphology, as an example, very significant is to retrace some syntactic function of the article. That is why, we state a fact that the scopes of morphology, syntax and compounding in the Modern Greek language are not clearly defined. In the first chapter "Coexistence of the analytical and synthetical forms in morphology of the Modem Greek language" is retraced the main tendencies of analycity and synthecity of noun, verb and adjective categorical system. At the end is paid little attention to the adverb as well. In the first case tendencies become apparent through a) existence of the article and its different functions in language, b) strengthening of analytical syntactical constructions with adverbs who can express some cases which already disappeared (e.g. instrumental or dative), c) reinforcement role of particles as 0a, va, aq to express some of the moods as imperative, subjunctive, conditional, d) strengthening of auxiliaries and particles as t/p) and 0a in creation of some past and future tenses, e) active usage analytical forms of degrees of comparison with the particle mo and/or articles о, r|. TO, 1) variation usage of negation (SEV, |j.r|v, OXV) what depends on the mood or part of speech.
