The dissertation is devoted to the study of regularities of development and functioning features of small-scale farms in the Poltava province in the conditions of formation of market relations in the second half of XIX - early XX century. The methodological basis of the study of the development of small-scale farms in the Poltava province of the second half of XIX - early XX century. Characterized the economic activity of small producers. Justified: the place and role of the non-privileged class in the social structure of village of Poltava. Analyzed the main factors of development of small-scale farms in the Poltava province, and establishes the methods and sources of financing their activities. Substantiated link social position of small producers unprivileged state with endogenous and exogenous factors of influence on their management. Proposes a methodological approach to the research of the development of small-scale farms in the Poltava province.
