The thesis represents an investigation that has resulted in a new solution of the actual applied research task involving control of the level of air navigation system operator reliability at a sufficient level by means of development of the information-functional model of reliability of the operator, taking into account error recovery. The special aspects and typology of errors performed by the air navigation system operator are researched. Consequently, it is proposed to use a method of structural decomposition and divide the air navigation system operator reliability into four groups: information, professional, functional and operational.
