Main social and criminological preventive action against mercenary violent crime on the railway depending on its infrastructure is determined. The thesis gives criminological characteristics of a present day mercenary violent criminal's personality, presenting their typology. Ways to improve efficiency of preventing mercenary violent crime on the railway are offered.
