Essay

The thesis presents the results of research of theoretical and methodical bases of operational management in meat processing plants. The essence, role and importance of operational management in ensuring effective business activity in meat processing industry have been developed. There have been set the main directions of improvement in operational management as a complex organizational and planning system in direct connection with the strategic management of a plant taking into account the specific characteristics of meat processing, in particular, the limited shelf life of raw and processed meat. The study results of the influence of internal and external factors on the effectiveness of operational management in meat processing plants have been shown, their classification have been supplemented. Operational management of the procurement of raw meat, current production and selling the ready produce of meat processing plants in the region have been estimated. The measures for improvement of operational management in meat processing plants have been suggested. The proposals to ensure systematicity of operational management that will enhance the efficiency of the production of meat processing plants have been developed.
