The object - processes of legitimation and delegitimation of political power. The aim - definition of specificity of legitimation and delegitimation of political power in the context of modern political process in Ukraine. Methods - value-normative (axiological), comparative, structure-functional etc. Theoretical and practical results - a complex analysis of processes of legitimation and delegitimation of political power in Ukraine was realized in the axiological context. Novelty - it was proposed an author's definition of legitimation of political power; were discovered that the same values demonstrate processes of legitimation and delegitimation of political power; were specified political - institutional peculiarities of delegitimation processes in Ukraine; were identified the main characteristics of legitimation and delegitimation of political power in the form "individual-community-government"; were outlined the prospects in legitimation of politics. Practical application - development of concrete recommendations in the directions of legitimation politics in Ukraine. Sphere of use - political-governmental structures, analytical and educational activity.
