Essay

The thesis is devoted to the research of the phenomenon of modern subculture of prisons and development of specific measures aimed at preventing its negative manifestations by the personnel of penal institutions. The author's definition of the concept of penitentiary (prison) subculture is offered. Amendments to existing legislation aimed at improving the efficiency of prevention of negative manifestations of subculture in prisons by the staff of correctional institutions are offered.
