Object - short G. Gazdanov' stories of 1920-1960's; aim - to characterize G. Gazdanov' stories as a dynamic integrity; to find out the specifics of the evolution of the author's consciousness of the writer; methods - holistic, motivic, intermedial, mythopoetic, intertextual analysis; novelty - first clarified the basic for the study concept - "motivic complex"; justified in writer' short prose the presence of existential and ontological motivic complexes, showing their structure (core zone and peripheral) and meaning-function; analyzed poetological features of the block of empirical motifs, allocated in G. Gazdanov' short stories of all periods of his work; motivic complexes of short G. Gazdanov' prose considered as the basis of its dynamic integrity; motivic poetics of G. Gazdanov' shorts stories analyzed in the aspects of evolution of the author's consciousness and art system of the writer; results - the basic states of the thesis can be used in teaching course of literary history of the Russian diaspora, special courses and seminars on G. Gazdanov's prose, in the preparation of textbooks and manuals devoted to the theory of motif and the history of Russian literature of the XXth century, the field of application - Russian literature of the XXth century.
