The research deals with the justification of proprietary methodology for the teaching of hiking the pupils of 10-11th form at the profession-oriented level, considering the preferences of pupils, the survey of practicing specialists and research workers in this scientific field. The content of educational material of hiking for the pupils of 10-11th forms is elaborated and detailed, the stages of its mastering by the senior high school pupils are identified, also the methods and forms of organization of educational process are detailed.
