The thesis is a complex research of problems of legal regulation of relations under a contract of liability insurance for damage caused by a source of extreme danger. It was considered historical stages of formation and development of legislation on insurance contracts in general and civil liability for damage caused by a source of extreme danger in particular. Attention is focused on determining the place of contract liability insurance for damage caused by a source of extreme danger as group insurance contracts, or in the contractual obligations to provide services in general. It was developing features of the legal status of parties to the contract liability insurance for damage caused by a source of extreme danger and others explored relationships. The features of the conclusion and implementation of contracts of insurance of civil liability for damage caused by a source of extreme danger, civil liability and other legal consequences those come in case of failure. Suggestions were proposed for changes in the legislation of Ukraine.
