Essay

The thesis deals with solution of a scientific and technical problem of enhancing the efficiency of transport-and-handling complex operation at the sinter plant of the metallurgical enterprise at unloading of mass raw materials (THC EN) in terms of dynamics of inbound unit train traffic. THC EN carries out handling of inbound unit trains via its technological line, which comprises transport (stochastic) and freight (determinate) modules. Investigation of regularities of dynamics of inbound unit train traffic shows, that there is a sustainable relation linking intervals between arriving unit trains and idle time of unit trains waiting before unloading. On this basis, method of logistical management is offered. It implies virtual duration of the handling cycle taken as controlled variable, and predetermined duration of the handling cycle taken as control criterion. It was determined that simulation modelling meets the demands of solving the problem the most. On this basis the process of THC EN was modelled, and the regularities linking the process parameters were determined. It was also determined that enhancing efficiency of THC EN operation requires carrying out the complex of adaptation measures: parametric, structural, and system. The offered solutions are accepted for industrial check-out. Technical solutions for structural and system adaptation are patented and are recommended for practical use.
