Domaranska A. Methodology and methods of stratified classifications construction

The dissertation presents the theoretical generalization and new solution to the problem of social stratification measurement, which is manifested through the construction of stratified classification that reflects the hierarchical order of the individuals' positions. Basing on the social stratification theory, the attributes that are important in the process of establishing and reproduction of social stratification are defined. The sequence of the most suitable methods and techniques for the stratified classification construction is determined. The appropriateness of using the combination of attributes for social position measuring is tested and stratified classification is constructed.
