Essay

The work is devoted to experimental and theoretical studies of multicomponent biofuel droplets ignition and combustion processes.Combustion critical conditions of rapeseed methyl ester and it's blends with diesel fuel droplets were experimentally investigated, the effective activation energy values were calculated. The results of theoretical and experimental studies have shown that sharing bioethanol and rapeseed methyl ester additives to diesel fuel brings mixture droplets ignition delay time to the pure diesel fuel value. It was shown, that because of (RME) and (MD) combustion time slight difference, there is no need taking into account the fuel mixture composition effect. As a bench testing result, it was found that the most pronounced effect of reducing the specific fuel consumption occurs for diesel fuel mixtures with small, up to 5 -10% by volume biofuel additives.
