Brodyuk Y. The poetics of Mykhaylo Tomchaniy prose

The thesis analyzes the genesis and evolution of the creative works of the artist in the context of Transcarpathian locus literary tradition, and also cultural and historical period. The complex analysis of the poetics of M. Tomchaniy different-genres works is made. It is found, that small prose genres - novels and short stories are served as a kind of basis for a massive trilogy "Zhmenyaky" about life of a transcarpathian family of several generations. The attention is emphasized on the mental-national identity; hatched out the archetypal typology of national mentality on the example of writer's prose (Home - Field - Church, Ancestry). On the base of novel analysis "Zhmenyaky", "The calm town", "Brothers" are singled out the main concepts of writer art anthropology on the realia background of transcarpathian village from the First World War to the middle XX century. In the relationship of time, place, certain circumstances in which heroes are acting, the formation and development of their characters is traced.
