Ibraheem A. The Physical and Chemical Properties of Iraqi oil and Perspective Technological Scheme of Processing.

The thesis is devoted to questions of increasing efficiency of Iraq crude oil resources use. The modern state and perspectives of oil refining industry development in Iraq was studied. In order to achieve the aim of the work, properties of crude oils from different Iraq deposits were investigated. Structural and group composition of their straight-run distillates - gasoline, diesel and heavy oil fractions were studied. Comparative studies of physical-chemical properties and fuel potential of 8 crude oil samples from Iraq, Russian (West Surgut deposit Volonzhan) and Ukrainian (Hnidyntsi and Dolyna) deposits were done. Indexing of these crude oils was proposed and codes (technological passports) were developed. Rational technological scheme of Iraq oils processing was substantiated and material balance was calculated. Proposed technological scheme was substantiated from technical-economic and ecological points of view. The rational direction of Iraq economy development, mainly the system of oil products supply, was substantiated. It foresees development of its own network and modernization of already existing oil processing plants.
