Gomeniuk O. Concept sphere of flora and fauna in Ukrainian children's prose of E. Hutsalo and M. Vingranovsky

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of concepts of the flora and fauna in the prose literature for children written by E. Hutsalo and M. Vingranovsky and is based on the paradigm of cognitive linguistics and lingua-cultural studying. The plant and animal concept spheres in Ukrainian ethnic and authorial based visions of the world are discovered and characterized. Means of language objectification, verbificator of the etymology key were discovered and semantics has been defined with the help of core concepts.It was found that all the analysed concepts are polysemous, cognitive multifaceted, polysymbolic, ambivalent and authenticated by numerous language means of expression. They are equally characterized by the wide nominative branches which include both the generally used flora and fauna tokens and authorial names, and their semantics largely depend on verbalizators' denotative-connotative features.
