Essay

The methodical approach of assessing the bank's financial stability, that is based on determining of total effect on its level of changes in the values of definite financial and economic indicators, that characterizing capital adequacy, quality of assets, profitability, liquidity, sensitivity to currency risk, effectiveness of bank management, bank's participation in financing of regional development and bank's competitiveness was developed. The approach for calculating the index of region's providing with banking services and proposed the index of saving services' development among enterprises was improved. Positions for qualitative assessment of bank's competitive environment, that allow to investigate such propertiesof bank as characteristic of owners of essencial participation in the authorized capital of bank and the possibility of financial bank's support from their side, reputation of bank, credit rating of bank, size of bank and period of its functioning were grounded. The tool for assessing the effectiveness of bank's management, the use of which allows to investigate management and execution units of bank, working areas and client service, was improved The approaches for determining potential demand for credit and deposit services by calculating the index of consumption's potential of banking services in region, considering main consumers of deposit and credit services have got the further development. The approaches to the definition of bank's financial stability, systematization of factors, that influence the bank's financial stability and classification of internal and external factors, that influence the bank's financial stability, were developed.
