Essay

The object of study - hypertrophic and keloid scars. The purpose of research - improving the treatment efficiency of patients with hypertrophic and keloid scars through the development of pathogenetically justified complex method of treatment based on the study of pathological, immunohistochemical and biophysical characteristics of scar-altered tissue. Methods: clinical, morphological, morphometric, immunomorphological, biophysical, statistical. Dissertation is devoted to study of pathological scars treatment efficacy with the use of combined therapy: topical calcineurin inhibitors and destructive methods. Clinical, biophysical, morphological and immunohystochemical features of pathologic scars depending on their type and term are described. Patients with hypertrophic and keloid skin scars before and after integrated treatments had specific differences in tissue expression of CD34, EGF, EGFR. There were determined morphometric features of hypertrophic and keloid scars and their dynamics in the integrated treatment. Pathogenetic treatment for patients with hypertrophic and keloid scars was developed as well as differentiated approach to the use of phased topical calcineurin inhibitor and destructive methods. Results of the study are introduced into the practice of MCTPI HC "Regional Dermato-venerological Dispensary" of Donetsk, MI "Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital" of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Poltava Regional Clinical Dermato-venerological Dispensary, MI "Zaporizhzhia Regional Clinical Dermato-venerological Dispensary" of Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, MI "Kharkiv Regional Dermato-venerological Dispensary" of Rivne Regional Council.
