Essay

The object of the research is the process of determining the polarization characteristics of anisotropic tissues. The aim of the thesis is to improve the accuracy of determining the anisotropy parameters of biological tissues through the development of models and methods for analyzing the polarization properties of tissues and improving laser polarimetry to evaluate the pathological changes of tissues. Methods: methods based on the basis of the theory of radiation transport, methods of applied physical optics to analyze the polarization state of the interaction of OR with BT, methods of linear and matrix algebra to analyze the relative error of measurement, statistical modeling techniques to analyze the propagation of photons in the skin, and to assess the influence of random perturbations of the optic elements on the accuracy of the anisotropy parameters, methods of fuzzy logic to evaluate the pathological changes of BT. Theoretical results: a new method for polarimetric analysis of anisotropic tissues by determining averaged over local anisotropy parameters, entropy and the degree of polarization with the help of the Mueller matrix elements of certain types of anisotropy of the sample in accordance with its classification, a new method for the differentiation of pathological changes in the optically anisotropic biological tissues, which are determined by laser polarizing probing areas of tissue based on Mueller matrix analysis of local anisotropy parameters, entropy and the degree of polarization using adaptive neuro-fuzzy analysis, improved mathematical model of the accidental transfer of photons in a plane-parallel sample of the skin on the basis of the Monte Carlo method taking into account the state of polarization of probing light. Practical results are integrated in the application direction of the results used in the laser polarimetric analysis of structural changes in the anisotropic BT to identify and assess the degree of pathology in medical diagnosis of skin diseases. The degree of implementation - the results of the thesis are introduced in the corporation "Laser and Health" (Kharkov) in the educational process of the department of biomedical engineering equipment, as well as the Department of General Physics and Photonics Vinnytsia National Technical University. The domain (field) of application - medicine.
