Object of study: public administration of socio-economic development of the areas. Objective: to study theoretical principles and practical recommendations for perfection of state administration of socio-economic development of the areas in the terms of emergencies through the implementation of appropriate comprehensive mechanism. Methods: structural and logical analysis, abstraction and generalization, analysis, synthesis, comparison, modeling, sociological survey. Results grounded theoretical principles and practical recommendations on improvement public administration of socio-economic development of the areas in the terms emergency situations. Novelty: integrated public administration mechanisms of socio-economic development of the areas in the terms of emergency situations; improved technology of territory management in the terms of emergency situations using specialized geographic information system (GIS); obtained the further development defining features of management of socio-economic development of the areas in the terms of emergency situations in Ukraine and others. Introduced in the activities of the Main Department of State Service of Ukraine of Emergencies in Kharkiv region, Department of interaction with law enforcement and protection of Kharkiv City Council and the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine.
