The object of the research is the process of managing outsourced machine building enterprise. The purpose of the study is the formation of theoretical and methodical positions and practical recommendations to improve the management system of outsourcing in the industrial enterprise. Methods: analysis and synthesis, generalization and abstraction, dialectical method of knowledge of economic phenomena, economic and statistical method, matrix analysis, analytic hierarchy process. Theoretical and practical results: scientific-methodical and practical recommendations for the management of outsourcing are developed. The use of them allows to increase the efficiency of economic activities of the engineering enterprise. Scientific novelty consists in improving the definition of the essence of outsourcing, outsourcing typology, theoretical and methodological approaches to decision-making concerning the introduction of outsourcing, theoretical and methodological provisions to assess of the internal integration degree of the industrial enterprise; development of theoretical and methodical positions to management of business processes outsourcing, methodical approach to the choice of contractor.
