Thesis is devoted to revealing the influence of genetic factors (SNPs C677T and A1298C methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase gene (MTHFR)) on the development of ischemic atherothrombotic stroke. The frequency of allele and genotype polymorphisms C677T and A1298C MTHFR gene in representatives of the Ukrainian population is defined; their association with ischemic atherothrombotic stroke is investigated for the first time.
