Object of study: Ecological and economic assessment of the negative effects of man-made disasters Objective: improve theoretical positions and scientific - methodical approaches to ecological and economic demange of man-made disasters and organizational and economic mechanism of compensation. Methods and apparatus: abstract-logical analysis; comparing and grouping; systems analysis; economic and statistical analysis; economic and mathematical analysis; modeling techniques; deterministic factor analysis analysis; graphical analysis. Theoretical and practical results: methodological developments, practical advice on evaluating environmental and economic damage from man-made disasters. Novelty: proposed the scientific and methodical approach that allows industry to justify the amount of compensation funds to cover environmental; developed organizational and economic mechanism of compensation based on man-made disasters assessment of ecological and economic damage from them. Level of Implementation: design and practical recommendations implemented in the activity of Educational Center of Civil Protection and Life Safety Sumy region, Department of Emergency and Civil Protection Sumy city council, Shostka State Plant "Zvezda"; in the the curriculum of SSU.
