Essay

Object - streptozotocin-induced diabetes; purpose - to establish role of nitric oxide in the regulation of cholinergic dynamics of the heart in experimental diabetes based on sex; methods - electrophysiological, biochemical, morphometric, mathemetic; results - it was found that L-arginine, precursor of synthesis of nitric oxide, contributes to less intensive carbohydrate metabolism, reduces the imbalance in the system pro / antioxidants preventing depression of SOD and catalase, decreases signs of structural disorganization and percentage of necrotic cardiomyocytes; аminoguanidine potentiates membrane destructive processes, increases depression of enzymatic link of antioxidant system, deepens disorders of circulation of pyruvic acid in the myocardium; the degree of influence of L-arginine and aminoguanidine on the studied processes are more pronounced in female rats; it was established that the development of diabetes with the usage of L-arginine changes the nature of the autonomic regulation of the heart: in males adrenergic effects on the heart are weakened by the autonomic nervous system and in females - the adrenergic effects are reduced, while cholinergic effects are increased; in females usage of aminoguanidine causes strengthening of adrenergic and weakening of cholinergic controls of the autonomic nervous system and in males it only reduce the level of activity of cholinergic autonomic nervous system.
