The research of the division of matrimonial property in the legal regime of matrimonial property under the legislation of Ukraine and countries of EU is carried out. The main purposes of the research are to determine the legal nature and particularities of the regulation of relations which emerge in the process of matrimonial property division in Ukraine and countries of EU, to determine the grounds and the procedure of division, its particularities and to conduct theoretical analysis of the consequences which emerge in the process of matrimonial property division.
