The dissertation highlights formation and development of the Ukrainian legal terminology on West-Ukrainian lands in the end of ХІХ - at the beginning of ХХ century in the context of national legal terminology. The theoretical and methodological bases of research for the development of the West-Ukrainian legal terminology in the given period are characterized , the main sources of the Ukrainian legal terminology are defined and methodological tools are formed. The influence of the first Ukrainian periodical and professional legal editions in Galicia is analyzed; the state of the Ukrainian legal terminology in official work is described.
