Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of teaching speaking English to specialists in information security. The paper provides theoretical substantiation and practical elaboration for teaching dialogic communication for vocational purposes to future information security professionals using business game based on the principles of interdisciplinary integration. The goals and the content of teaching dialogic communication for vocational purposes to the third-year students, whose future profession is connected with information security, are specified. The prevalent functional type of dialogues in situations of professional interaction as well as basic communicative intentions is defined. The concept of business game in language teaching to students of the technical university is specified. The features of oral foreign language communication of future specialists in information security are analyzed and the necessity of selection of authentic texts and video to optimize their training is substantiated. A set of exercises and a model of teaching dialogic communication for vocational purposes using business game are developed. The effectiveness of the implemented methods is experimentally proven and a more effective version is determined. Guidelines for teaching dialogic communication for vocational purposes to future specialists in information security are formulated.
