The dissertation is devoted to improving the treatment of patients with chronic toxic osteomyelitis of the jaws, which developed as a result of the use of narcotic. On the basis of the study of the clinical features of chronic toxic osteomyelitis allocated 3 forms of bone destruction. Lytic form was predominant (64%), second place is sequestered (22%), while multifocal lytic accounts for 14% of surveyed. Depending on the amount of destruction of bone were set 4 classes of lesions on the lower jaw and the 5 classes of the destruction of maxilla. Changes in bone, radiographically detectable exceed those contemplated clinically. The most informative method of research is computered tomography and 3D cone CT. A direct relationship between the period of drug use and the severity of the disease on the basis of the study specified and differentiated methods of surgery and the amount, depending on the nature of the flow of osteomyelitis. Based on the results of the differentiated surgical approach were offered: the intervention of the type sequesterectomy for patients, which had stop using the drug for more than two years ago with sequestred form of the disease at any site (relapses observed in 11.8% of cases); on the lower jaw - a radical intervention by the type of resection for lytic lesions 2 and 3 of the class of patients who use drugs at present or discontinued use of less than a year ago (relapses observed in 18% of cases); lytic lesion in the upper jaw - the type of intervention necrectomy (21% recurrence).
