Object - inguinal hernia, reproductive function in men; purpose - to improve the results of surgical treatment of inguinal hernias by developing a method of undermuscular fixing polymer implant for the effective elimination of hernia combined with preperitoneal placing of a spermatic cord to preserve reproductive function; methods - clinical, laboratory, sonographic, topographic anatomical, histological and statistical; results - as a results of topographic anatomical research first studied the feasibility of translocation of spermatic cord under a transverse fascia and developed new ways of treating of inguinal hernias that prevent contact of spermatic cord with allograft, first experimentally studied the dynamics of pathological changes in the tissues of the reproductive organs existing contact of spermatic cord with mesh implant and in their division, scientifically developed and tested in the clinic author method of inguinal gernioplasty, first shown high clinical safety and efficiency of the method of surgical treatment of inguinal hernias on the results of the study of the immediate and long-term results of treatment and comprehensive indicators of reproductive function compared to alloplasty method by I.L. Lichtenstein.
