Deals with the history, problems and theoretical-methodological basis of studies of soils, which are at initial stages of soil formation. The specificity soil formation on products weathering dense carbonate rocks. Gross analyzed the chemical composition, thermodynamic and energy performance, physical-chemical properties of investigated soils. Established that the leading influence on the character and direction of development manifestation initial soil formation is a biological factor.
