The object is: dramatic works by "Professor Sukhorub", " In the courtyard at the suburb ", "Conspiracy in Kiev". The item is: reveal the basic ideological and artistic features of E. Pluzhnyk's plays in relations with Ukrainian playwrights 1920 - 1930's, describe the evolution of the playwright's creative. Methods: cultural-historical, cultural-aesthetic, contextual. Methods of the research are: cultural-historical, cultural-aesthetic, contextual. Results, novelty are: for the first time disclosed the complex ideological and artistic features of the E. Pluzhnyk's dramatic heritage in the context of creative searches of Ukrainian drama 1920 - 1930-ies; meaningful the creative evolution of the author; identified the main conflict in the plays of the playwright; analyzed their relationship with key socio-political and artistic processes at the time; the influence of the aesthetics of the "new drama", agitation-plays and expressionist drama on the creativity of the writer; established the role of E. Pluzhnyk's dramatic texts in the Ukrainian dramaturgical process of 1920 - 1930-ies. The area of employment is: university courses of History of Ukrainian literature and theater of the XX century.
