Tretiak K. Ukrainian reinsurance market: its formation and development prospects

The thesis is devoted to the research of theoretical foundations of the reinsurance market formation and the development of practical recommendations to improve the efficiency of its operation, which would take into account the interests of the optimum reinsurance market and contribute to the domestic reinsurance market revitalization. An analysis of the theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the reinsurance market, which is an important part of the insurance market, has been performed. Ukrainian reinsurance market present state and major trends of the global reinsurance market has been analyzed. A number of problems, hindering the development of the reinsurance market in Ukraine, on the basis of the analysis have been revealed. The thesis contains scientifically grounded proposals for improvement of the domestic reinsurance market state regulation, for introduction of the innovative services and for development of reinsurance. The research results will help to solve the problems of reinsurance market. The main provisions and conclusions of the thesis can be the basis for further effective development of the reinsurance market in Ukraine.
