Essay

The thesis deals with the study of psychosomatic disorder features at the individuals of different sexes. The individual and group differences of psychological and psycho-physiological properties of the individuals with psychosomatic disorders are investigated with system approach. Psycho-physiological risk factors of psychosomatic disorders are the imbalance of excitation and inhibition processes of nervous system, the speed decrease of information processing and high neuroticism. Introvert persons with high neuroticism are prone to psychosomatic disorders, neuroticism is reliably higher at females; therefore, they are more prone to psychosomatic disorders in adverse stressful situations. The impact of adverse social factors leading to psychosomatic disorders of females is identified; the predictors of psychosomatic disorders are depression, anxiety and neuroticism being reliably higher at females. The heterogeneity of psychosomatic disorder nature at the individuals of different sexes is determined. The program of correction and psycho-prophylactics of psychosomatic disorders is developed considering sex differences and specific obligate factors.
