Object - language of Ukrainianin cantations, inparticular, propernames; aim - todetermine the composition and boundaries of Onomasticon of Ukrainian inantations; tofindsemantic, structural, geneticandfunctionalcharacteristics of its components; methods - descriptive method,observation, comparison, component and contextual analysis, quantitative method, elements of the etymological, cross-genre and cross-cultural methods; novelty - first in domestic linguistics comprehensively and thoroughly investigated Onomasticon Ukrainian charms: the classification of onomastic material revealed; the dynamic trends of onim composition and their mythological basisare clarified; functions of proper names in the composition of incantations caused by attitudinal changes of human consciousness are determined; attributive space and the specific of predicative characteristics of onima are analyzed; mechanisms of implementing by proper names the sound and numerical codes are defined; results -the analyzed material, the main statements of the thesis, the findings can be used for writing books, manuals, textbooks on the history of Ukrainian language, ethnolinguistics, reading courses of folklore language and folklore onomastics; materials of the thesis are important for lexicographical work at the conclusion of dictionaries of Ukrainian mythology and ethno-linguistic "Dictionary of Ukrainian antiquities" and to create a consolidated register of Ukrainian mythopoetic Onomasticon; field of research - linguistics.
