Subbotenko O. Protection of Honor and Dignity of a Person by Criminal and Legal Measures (Experience of CIS and EU Countries)

The author of the paper has proved that the human right on inviolability of honor and dignity is a fundamental constitutional right of a person based on the standards enshrined in many international and legal acts. As the result of the analysis of the grounds and principles of criminalization of violations of the protection of honor and dignity it is concluded that infringements on the honor and dignity as a fundamental constitutional human right must be provided not by civil and legal, but criminal and legal means. Considering this it is offered to amend the current criminal legislation of Ukraine with the relevant criminal and legal norms.
