Essay

The thesis deals with eсоlogical and economic foundations of rehabilitation of radioactively contaminated lands of Ukrainian Polissya in the remote period after the accident at Chernobyl AES. Theoretical and methodological bases of rehabilitation and recreation of radioactively contaminated soils towards resource and energy saving, are grounded in this thesis. Ecological and economic situation of radioactively contaminated lands of Zhytomyr Polissya and possibility of their returning to agricultural use in remote post-accident period, are analyzed. Changes of agrochemical and physical - chemical characteristics of soils and their possibility of recreation of agroecological functions, are researched. Ecological and economic efficiency of different systems of recreation of radioactively contaminated lands, are analyzed. Environmental and economic tools in crop specialization to ensure reduce the transfer of radionuclides in crop production are improved. Scientific and methodical approaches of formation of effective models of agrarian production on radioactively contaminated lands, are justified. The ways of ecological and economic providing of rehabilitation and recreation of radioactively contaminated lands and also creation of resource and energy saving models of agro-ecosystems which provide sufficient high economic efficiency of agricultural production on radioactively contaminated lands aimed at their returning to the manufacturing sector in the remote period after the accident, are proposed.
