The dissertation is dedicated to the specific features of the modern Ukrainian term system of museum studies and suggests its periodization, taking into account lingual and extralingual factors. The author has explored such phenomena of Ukrainian museum terms as synonymy, antonymy, polysemy, and homonymy. She also revealed leading trends in term creation, described the structural and derivational nature of Ukrainian museum terms, investigated methods and means of term derivation, defined derivational models of terms and showed their productivity.
