Skrypniuk O. Implementation of the Principle of National Sovereignty in Ukraine: Legal Aspect.

The dissertation deals with theoretical contents and legal foundations of the principle of national sovereignty. The problems of methodological principles related with the research of the notion "national sovereignty" in the modern jurisprudence, in particular, the connection between the notions "national sovereignty", "sovereignty of the people", "direct democracy" has been analyzed. The process of the development of theoretical foundation of the principle of national sovereignty in the historical and legal perspective has been observed. The principle of the national sovereignty in the context of the development of the theory of democracy and constitutional state has been justified. The attention to the theoretical aspects researches of the direct democracy's forms as main, guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine mechanisms of the practical realization and implementation of the principle of national sovereignty in Ukraine has been paid. The role and the importance of the institute of the election during a realization of national sovereignty have been analyzed and the main problems and ways of the amelioration of the right of referendum in the context of the implementation of the principle of the national sovereignty have been researched.
