Object of research is process management potential competitive food industry. The subject of the study is a set of theoretical, scientific-methodological and practical bases of competitive potential of the food industry. The thesis is dedicated to the improvement and implementation of further research on the development and practical implementation of a qualitatively new system of competitive potential of the food industry. Research carried out through the use of techniques such as monographic and system analysis; economic analysis and synthesis; settlement and constructive; expert; correlation and regression analysis; poll; Economics and Mathematics; prognostication. Systematized internal and external socio-economic conditions of formation of competitive potential food businesses. Improved interpretation of the definition of "competitive food industry" and scientific and methodical approach to the systematic study of competitive potential of the use of statistical methods for detailed evaluation of the economic efficiency of the food business. We got further development of interaction elements of internal and external potential scientific and methodical approach to the optimization of production costs for food enterprises. The main theoretical propositions, conclusions and proposals contained in the thesis have scientific and practical value and used in the Department of Economic Development and Trade of the Kherson Regional State Administration in drafting the Strategy of Development of the Kherson region in 2020, JSC "Kherson Butter Plant", JSC "Ivanovo Dairy Plant" JSC "Snigirevskaya Creamery" PE "Agricultural Extension Service Southern Region", Kherson National Technical University.
