Legal foundations of organization and activity of the Higher Regional Court in Lviv (1855-1918) are studied in the dissertation on basis of analysis of legal acts in force in Eastern Galicia incorporated in Austria and Austria-Hungary. Clarified the legal basis for the organization of the judicial system and legal proceedings in Galicia as part of Austrian and Austro-Hungary, in particular the socio-political conditions of reforming the judiciary in Galicia as part of Austrian and Austro-Hungary. Reveals the organization, structure and powers of the High Regional Court in Lviv, in particular, are characterized by socio-political and legal preconditions for the formation of higher regional court in Lviv.
