Essay

Has been analyzed the results of examination and treatment of the 76 patients with the locally widespread cancer of the thyroid gland (thyroid cancer). Preoperative chemo-radiation therapy (HPT) with the use of taxotere has been used on the 32 patients, neoadjuvant radiation therapy (RT) - to 44 patients. Proved that ultrasound is a highly informative method in case of the identification of tumor formation in the thyroid gland itself. The diagnostic efficiency of the method is: sensitivity - 91,5% specificity - 83,0%, an accurancy - 97,6%. During the study of the dissemination of the surrounding anatomical structure, the correct value of the lesion is achieved only in 40% of cases. MRI and CT could be considered by the method of diagnostically choice distribution of tumor with thyroid cancer, both through a detailed evaluation of soft tissue structures by MRI and the condition of lung tissue with CT effectively complement each other. Conducted a comprehensive morphological research of thyroid cancer in various options neoadjuvant therapy, showed that the most exposed to the deep destruction of malignant cells under the action of HPT. Found that injection of taxotere on the background of preoperative PT leads to the increase of index 1-year applicability 2-timse more, 3-year up to the 11,7%, compared with the same indicators in the group of patients who has been under the neoadjuvant PT treatment. The use of the proposed method preoperative HPT increases the efficiency of the complex treatment due to the increase up to 23,9% numbers of objective answers compared to the respective indicator in the group of patients, which have been under preoperative RT. In 2,3 times more, there have been cases of complete tumor regression, and stabilization of the process identified in 3 times less rare after the combined treatment compared with combined way of treatment.
