Bohuslavska N. Argumentation for choosing a method of anаesthesia management of young patients undergoing trauma surgery

The choice of regional anesthesia with sedation was proved to be as the most effective and safest method of anesthesia. It has been used on 102 patients of the average age of 33,5±0,7 y.o., routinely operated on limb injuries, based on the study of hemodynamic, the level of pain, stress markers and cognitive functions. Its advantage over the regional and intravenous anesthesia has been proved. The level of cognitive decline was greatest in patients undergoing surgery in terms of intravenous anesthesia, but it did not reach 10,0% for the diagnosis of POCD. The period of time to first need for systemic administration of analgesics in postoperative period increased in 3 times for patients who were operated under regional anаesthesia with sedation. The use of dexketoprofen was reduced by 19,6% and the use of narcotic drugs was reduced by 23,1% in comparison with the patients who were operated under intravenous anesthesia.
