Vizniuk V. Complex treatment of patients with urolithiasis complicated by pyaelonephritis after extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (clinical and experimental study)

The dissertation deals with a study of the characteristics of the kidneys functional condition, the urolithiasis course, complicated by pyelonephritis in the surgical treatment of remote shock-wave lithotripsy and the nephroprotective therapy perfection. The research presents the results of a complete physical examination and treatment of 138 patients with urolithiasis and the experimental results on 50 mature rats. The indices of the kidneys functional condition, the lipid peroxidation and the blood antioxidant defense systems, immune indices and carbohydrate metabolism indices in the treatment of urolithiasis together with pyelonephritis by remote shock-wave lithotripsy have been analyzed. The diagnostics algorithm of the endointoxication syndrome and renal dysfunction on the basis of the results of patients examination and ultrastructural histologic study of rats kidneys biopsy samples has been worked out. An evaluation of the efficacy of ozone therapy and its influence on the pyelonephritis course in patients with urolithiasis has been carried out.
