Essay

Object: out-cultic practices of modern Christian churches in Ukraine. Goal: conceptualization of the phenomenon of out-cultic practices of modern Christian churches as a factor and indicator of civil society development in Ukraine. Research methods: method of comparative analysis and synthesis, compartmentalizing, induction, questionnaire survey, individual half-structured profound interviews, content analysis method. Theoretical and practical outcomes: theoretical and methodological potential as well as feasibility of applying the concepts of phenomenological sociology to the analysis of out-cultic practices of modern Christian churches is revealed and characterized; the term "out-cultic practices" is introduced into scientific practice; it is proved that out-cultic practices actualize features of a personality as a subject of civil society formation; the typology of out-cultic practices is proposed, in particular three types of practices are singled out: traditionalist, modernist, and postmodernist. Novelty: conceptualization of factor conditionality of actualization of out-cultic practices of modern Christian churches as a factor of civil society formation. Level of Implementation: the results of a research study are implemented in educational process at the Institute of Social Sciences of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University, in particular lecture course "Sociology of Religion", "Sociology of a Personality", "Sociology" for second- and third-year students in training speciality "Sociology".
