Essay

The author reviews one of the most important aspects of the state development, particularly the regional policy. The regional policy of the state under the conditions of globalization gains momentum rapidly. Special focus on the regional development of the state was after the Second World War. Today for Europe the regional policy is the one of the most important areas as all the countries and regions are on the different stages of development that makes considerably low the prospect of stable development of the European Union. In the era of globalization it is small country or region that could mean a lot either in the world policy or in the world economy. One of the best examples of the regional policy is the policy of Polish Republic. It was Poland that could achieve significant results among the countries of Central Eastern Europe. In fact the reform stipulated the fundamental changes in the management system and the regional development of the state in general as well as the decentralization of power. The main goal was to pass the power to the local authorities. The territorial devision of the country accelerated the transitions of the country to the "European railway" and in fact corresponded the NUTS system. analyzes the principles, mechanisms and instruments of regional policy, its role in ensuring harmonious and proportional development within the EU. Studied the advantages and disadvantages of conducting regional policy in Poland and in the EU as a whole and the possibility of implementation experience in Ukraine.
