Essay

The dissertation features studying of peculiarities and prerequisites of professional self-determination of future nurses. It is theoretically grounded the professional self-determination of students of nurse profile and also determined factors influencing its development and changes among which are: age peculiarities and personal professional qualities, abilities. The attention is focused on negative emotions which take place in practical training of future nurse and can lead to the formation of emotional burnout, which we consider as manufactured by personality psychological defense mechanism in response to stressful situations. It was developed the model of professional self-determination of medical college's student, which allows an integrated approach to the study of psychological characteristics of professional development, helps to differentiate students by level of professional self-determination (depending on the professional plans, motives and activities on the stage of choice of profession) and available professionally necessary personal qualities, and to determine the specific changes as a result of negative emotions while obtaining practical skills in the hospital. It was developed and tested training program "Prevention and overcoming of negative emotions during the practical activities of medical college's students." According to the tasks of research, forming influences were directed on development of personal qualities needed in the practical skills implementation in the presence of stress factors; on the analysis of professional situations which can cause negative emotions, and on studying methods of prevention of emotional burnout. Experience of trainings showed their effectiveness and certified the need for their implementation in practice of training of students of medical college.
